NWM assignment

Man i could spend hours in that place the national war memorial, its such an amazing place it was the first time that i really went through there and read most of the stuff :P   The one image that stuck in my mind and still is, the one where the members of the 1st australian light trench mortar battery sitting around a smokey light source, the detail and the way the light is thrown across the men is just stunning, the emotion on the mens faces show a good mates feel and not some war torn image

for the fashion side of things and from personal experiences i know most war uniforms where and still are design for form and function the practical sense of the garment was just to ease the access of gear (image is of a current australian army uniform)

NGA assignment

so we are now meeting at all these different places which is kinda cool. I had trouble navigating around the NGA website to find the images i wanted, when i can across this stunner, painted by Larry Rawling in 2005. I just love the way he has used colours and the style of the painting it feels like the art work is trying to convey a multicultural pop art piece.

would love this in my room.

I asked an old friend the other day and one of the most respected mtb track designer/ builder in Aus and probs most of the world what he thought of my art work.

thinking i may just get the ball rolling as it has started now, the images in the first post where just to get an idea on how this all works. Makes sense now yay :)  images in this post are from the national mtb champs at the end of jan 09, bloody hot weekend but worth it, should be seeing some of these images in mtb mags across aus in the coming months but i will give you guys a sneak peak.
